On Forgiveness

To forgive does not condone
Unloving acts of man
But confers a blessing
Upon the head of one who can
So if you hold a grievance
And do not forgive a debt
Your Father in the heaven
Cannot through you express
If you withhold God’s true bequest
You’re the one who pays the price
For as you sow so shall you reap
The darkness or the light
Are you prepared to die to self
To overcome the night
So that you may be born again
And live again in light?
This is the invitation
Of one who’s called The Christ
A one who is a master
A one at one with light
