What if I should see you
With truly spiritual eyes
Beyond what’s called the folly
Of my foolish worldly mind
Would then I see as I am seen
By one who is divine?
And would I then with mind renewed
Be grafted in the vine?
And would I know the body
Is the temple where I’ll find
The Kingdom of the heaven
Which in all of us abides?
So should we take us to our rooms
And in quietness sit
And wait upon the one called lord
For him to give of gifts?
And would my search be lesser
Than one who says he is
A member of the rightful church
The custodian of the gifts?
I think not for I’ve found within
Or more rightly I’ve been found
By one who is the love of God
One who truly wears the crown
